“We really regret the fact that Nick has chosen to leave Werder. We put a really good offer on the table and explained our plans for him at Werder Bremen. He’s also received considerably more minutes in recent weeks, which was an important factor in his decision. It’s a great shame that he’s departing the club, but we obviously accept Nick’s decision,” explained Clemens Fritz, head of professional football at SVW.
