DFL confirms timings for first eight Bundesliga matchdays

The Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) has confirmed the timings for the first eight Bundesliga matchdays. The full fixture list for the 2023/24 season had previously been released at the end of June, with SV Werder Bremen set to begin the season away at defending champions FC Bayern München. 

An overview of matchday 1-8:

  • Matchday 1: Friday, 18.08.2023, 20:30 CEST: SV Werder Bremen - FC Bayern München
  • Matchday 2: Saturday, 26.08.2023, 15:30 CEST: SC Freiburg - SV Werder Bremen 
  • Matchday 3: Saturday, 02.09.2023, 15:30 CEST: SV Werder Bremen - 1. FSV Mainz 05
  • Matchday 4: Sunday, 17.09.2023, 15:30 CEST: 1. FC Heidenheim - SV Werder Bremen 
  • Matchday 5: Saturday, 23.09.2023, 18:30 CEST: SV Werder Bremen - 1. FC Köln 
  • Matchday 6: Sunday, 01.10.2023, 15:30 CEST: SV Darmstadt 98 - SV Werder Bremen 
  • Matchday 7: Saturday, 07.10.2023, 18:30 CEST: SV Werder Bremen - TSG 1899 Hoffenheim
