Ole Werner was pleased to see a trio of Werder players back in team training on Wednesday. Milos Veljkovic, Felix Agu and Marvin Ducksch all returned to full training after working individually on Tuesday. Agu and Ducksch were only partly involved in Wednesday morning’s session.

Leonardo Bittencourt was absent, however, as the 30-year-old’s workload is being managed. Skelly Alvero, Romano Schmid and Justin Njinmah all completed individual sessions at the wohninvest WESERSTADION. Jiri Pavlenka (muscle issues) and Niklas Stark (ankle) also trained separately from the rest of the squad.
