The Green-Whites will officially start to prepare for the 24/25 season with individual physical tests on the first weekend of July (6th/7th). The first public training session will be held the following Monday (8th July) at the training facilities by the wohninvest WESERSTADION. The session is scheduled to get underway at 15:00 CEST.
Thanks to partners MATTHÄI, Werder will take on Landesliga champions and newly-promoted Oberiga side FC Verden 04 in their first pre-season friendly. The match will kick off at 14:00 CEST on Sunday, 14th July.
SVW will then travel to Zillertal for their pre-season training camp. The Green-Whites will use their 10-day stay in Austria (17th-27th July) to finalise their preparations for the upcoming seasons. Werder will also be in action in two friendly matches, with the opposition and exact dates and timings to be confirmed.
Just like last summer, Werder will play a couple of pre-season friendlies in France in August. The Green-Whites will face off against Stade Rennais FC on Saturday, 10th August. The first of the two friendlies against SRFC will kick off at 11:00 CEST and will be played behind closed doors at the French side’s training ground, before a second game at the Roazhon Park later in the day (17:00 CEST).
Then, it’s time for every Werder supporter’s favourite day of the year. On Sunday, 11th August, SVW will hold its annual fan day at the wohninvest WESERSTADION. More details about the event itself are set to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The Green-Whites’ first competitive fixture of the 2024/25 season will be a first-round DFB-Pokal clash in mid-July. SVW’s Bundesliga campaign gets underway a week later (23rd–25th August).
