Head coach Ole Werner is equally pleased to see the 23-year-old commit his future to the club: “Justin’s really come along this season and made himself a key player to the team thanks to his performances. In addition to his pace, he has the technical ability to make us more flexible in possession. We are convinced that he will continue his upward trajectory."
Njinmah is looking forward to his future at Werder: “I feel at home in this team and in Bremen. The atmosphere at the home games in particular is amazing. We have a good team who made a lot of progress last year. I personally feel very good at Werder and I think I can make more steps forward in my career here. That’s why I’ve decided to extend my contract.”
Justin Njinmah made 26 appearances for Werder Bremen in the season just gone, scoring six goals and assisting two more. The 23-year-old joined Werder’s U23 side from Holstein Kiel in 2021 and spent 18 months on loan with Borussia Dortmund’s U23s from the start of 2022, returning to Werder in summer 2023.
