2023 marks the 100th anniversary for hummel and the company will celebrate this historic landmark with a special look. Werder Bremen’s new home shirt is based on the shirt worn by the Denmark national team in their first appearance in the World Cup in Mexico in 1986. The shirt evokes childhood nostalgia, and the green and white club colours add their own touch to the shirt, with its half-green, half-white design.
“I think this is a very successful design that represents a good combination of Werder and our partner hummel. I am looking forward to seeing our team play their home games in this shirt,” said Klaus Filbry, CEO at Werder Bremen.
The new shirt will be worn by the players for the first time at the weekend, when SV Werder face SV Drochtersen/Assel on Sunday afternoon (09/7, 15:30 CEST) in a friendly match in Verden.
