Nick Woltemade is heading to the Saarland. The 20-year-old has joined third division side SV Elversberg until the end of the season. This announcement was made by sporting director and head of scouting, Clemens Fritz, on Tuesday.
“It is important for Nick in his development to continue getting lots of minutes at a high level. That’s why we’re happy that the opportunity with SV Elversberg came along. We completely believe in Nick’s quality and we’re sure that he will make the next step so that he comes back to us stronger than before,” explained Fritz.
Nick Woltemade, who will see former Werder player Thore Jacobsen at Elversberg, moved from TS Woltmershausen to Bremen’s performance centre in 2010 and worked his way up into the first team. He had 11 appearances for the Green-Whites in the Bundesliga and a further seven in the second division.
