Milos Veljkovic to miss the game against Mainz

Tendon inflammation in the thigh will keep the centre-back out

Werder Bremen will be without Milos Veljkovic for the home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05. The central defender is absent due to a tendon inflammation in the thigh. This was clear ahead of Werder’s final training session on Friday.

As well as Veljkovic, head coach Ole Werner will also have to deal with the absences of Leonardo Bittencourt, Nicolai Rapp and Manuel Mbom. Bittencourt is absent with a cold, while Rapp is still not ready to play due to a muscular injury to his thigh. Manuel Mbom is still working on his comeback from injury.
