Milos Veljkovic will miss Saturday’s clash with RB Leipzig at the wohninvest WESERSTADION (15:30 CET).

The defender, who is currently having problems with his Achilles tendon, went off at half time against FC Bayern on Tuesday. Ole Werner was asked about the Serbia international in yesterday’s presser and the head coach suggested that there were question marks around his fitness. It has, however, been confirmed that Veljkovic will miss out on Saturday.

Michael Zetterer, on the other hand, is back on the training ground after his back problems. The goalkeeper was able to take part in the final training session ahead of the Leipzig game, which will be Werder’s final outing of 2022.
