Trio miss Monday’s training due to illness

Ole Werner, the players and the coaching staff took the training ground on Monday afternoon to begin the final training week ahead of the Winter break. A number of players are already away with their respective national teams, meaning the coach was working with a reduced squad. Five players also missed the session for various reasons.

Oliver Burke, Niklas Stark and Anthony Jung all missed out due to illness. Nicolai Rapp was also absent from the session with muscular problems. Christian Groß, who scored his first Bundesliga goal at the weekend, trained individually on Monday in order to ease some of the workload.
