Ole Werner can look forward to some players returning as the training week begins ahead of the home game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Head of scouting and profession football, Clemens Fritz, announced on Tuesday morning (28/3) that Milos Veljkovic (muscular problems), Mitchell Weiser (work load) and Michael Zetterer (illness) would return to team training.

“We still have a few days until the game in which we can control the intensity,” said Clemens Fritz. “We didn’t get any problems from the international players either.” Veljkovic was already working individually together with Felix Agu on Monday. “With Felix, we have to see how his knee takes the strain after rehab,” added Fritz. “The goal is for him to return to the pitch soon, without giving it a date.”

Internationals Jiri Pavlenka (Czech Republic), Romano Schmid (Austria) and Ilia Gruev (Bulgaria) are on their way back and are expected back in Bremen tomorrow. Niclas Füllkrug (Germany), who will be playing this evening, will also return to Bremen soon after the game against Belgium.
