On Wednesday 19.10.22 at 18:00 CEST, SV Werder Bremen have their second round cup game in Paderborn. The squad: Leonardo Bittencourt and Milos Veljkovic were back in team training on Monday and will be in the squad against Paderborn. Ole Werner on the opposition: “I expect a tight game. We know from last year just how difficult it will be against Paderborn. Not a lot has changed since then. Paderborn are a side that always have their attacking blinkers on, they’re really strong going forward and don’t hide not matter who they are playing. It can definitely become turbulent. That’s something we are prepared for.”

They have recorded three victories thus far, whereas SC Paderborn have two wins in the books. The most recent clash between the two clubs took place on matchday 20 of last season. In the end, SVW won what appeared to be an all-but-lost game thanks to a late header from former captain Ömer Toprak 4-3.
