SV Werder Bremen’s first friendly game in preparation for the 2023/24 season has been determined. Thanks to the support of Werder’s long-time partner WIESENHOF, the Green-Whites will face VfB Oldenburg at the Hössensportzentrum on Sunday 16th July 2023 to mark the 900th anniversary of Weserstede. The match will kick off at 15:00 CEST.
“We are very pleased that we can be part of the celebrations going on around Werder. In terms of the football, the match is an important friendly in our preparations, and the past has shown that meetings with VfB have always had something in store for the spectators,” said Clemens Fritz, head of scouting and professional football at Werder.
