Werder attacker Niclas Füllkrug had to be substituted early on Saturday in the away fixture in Wolfsburg after suffering a knock. Detailed examinations on Monday morning by team doctor Dr. Georg Tsironis revealed a muscle contusion in the thigh, but no structural damage to the muscles was detected.

"We will assess Niclas in the coming days,” head coach Ole Werner said. “We can then decide whether or not he can play on Saturday against Stuttgart."
