Three missing for Wolfsburg clash

Injury update ahead of the start of the season

As Werder Bremen travel to VfL Wolfsburg to kick off their Bundesliga campaign, head coach Ole Werner must do without Eren Dinkci (muscular problems), Manuel Mbom (Achilles tendon) and Dikeni Salifou (adductor). All three are still working on their returns after their injuries.

Benjamin Goller (ankle injury) and Niklas Stark (illness), who have recently been out, both returned to training. Leonardo Bittencourt and Lee Buchanan, who went off against Cottbus, have also taken part in training. All four will be available for selection on Saturday.
