Three other players were absent from the training session led by head coach Ole Werner on Tuesday. Goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka had his broken nose set in place on Monday and is expected to be back training with the team on Wednesday. “We think that that he will be able to play this weekend,” stated Werder’s head of professional football and scouting. Amos Pieper is still out after his head injury, as is Marvin Ducksch (muscular problems). The trio are working on their recoveries individually.
