Werders head coach Ole Werner must go without Marco Friedl and Christian Groß for the cup game against SC Paderborn on Wednesday evening.

Friedl is unavailable due to adductor area. Groß is missing due to illness. "We expect both of them to be available again on Saturday in Freiburg," explained head coach Ole Werner.
