Werder will play a further friendly this Saturday lunchtime. The Green-Whites will face Dutch side FC Groningen at 14:15 CEST behind closed doors. The match was originally scheduled to take place in Delmenhorst on Saturday evening, but was cancelled due to security concerns.
Thanks to our partners EWE, the game will be available to watch live on WERDER.TV and on our official Youtube channel. Our game against FC Emmen later in the day (17:15 CEST) will also be available to watch live.
“As was the case against FC Twente, we received a condition from the authorities not to publish the details of the match in advance. We are happy that we don’t need to be as secretive about it and we can at least show the game live to all Werder fans,” explained Clemens Fritz.
