SV Werder will be without striker Marvin Ducksch for the second-round game DFB-Pokal tie at SC Paderborn on Wednesday. Head coach Ole Werner has dropped the attacker for disciplinary reasons.
The striker missed the majority of the recovery session on Sunday and didn’t take part in an important team meeting. As a result, the 28-year-old was dropped from the squad. “We can only be successful if everybody follows all the rules. The issue has been dealt with now and Marvin will train on Thursday with the team as we prepare for the game in Freiburg,” explained head coach Ole Werner.
