Central defender, Dominik Becker, has permanently signed for 1. FC Saarbrücken and won’t return to Werder Bremen. The 23-year-old has recently spent a period on loan at the 3. Liga side and it was confirmed on Monday that the move will be made permanent.

“Dominik has developed into an important player for Saarbrücken after some initial difficulties and he hasn’t lost any of the 15 league games in which he has featured this season. We hope that he can build upon this form and we wish him all the best for the future,” said Clemens Fritz.

Dominik Becker moved to Werder Bremen from the FC Köln U19s in 2019. He made 33 appearances in the Regionalliga for the U23s and also regularly trained with the first team.
