Werder were rewarded for a good first half with another goal shortly before the break, this time scored by Schmidt (43’). In the second half, Ducksch (59’) showed his skill and intelligence to make it 3-0, and Werder secured a deserved victory and picked up all three points.

Highlights from the second half:

63rd minute: Schmidt dances through the Bochum back line and pulls the trigger, but the ball goes well wide of the goal.

71st minute: After winning the ball, Schmidt picks up the speed and looks for Ducksch just outside the penalty area. A Bochum player manages to get in the way of the pass, however.
