Previewing the friendly against Besiktas

Great names such as Mesut Özil, Per Mertesacker and Torsten Frings wore the green and white of Werder in that 2009 game, though we were forced to endure a 2-1 defeat. There have been two other meetings between the sides, with a certain Ailton scoring three times as Besiktas triumphed 3-2 in 2006. We avenged that loss in 2007 with a 4-0 win. Hugo Almeida (2x), Miroslav Klose and Nalso were on the scoresheet that day.
