On Friday (30/6), the German Football League (DFL) announced the schedule for the 2023/24 Bundesliga season. SV Werder Bremen will open the new season with a home game at the wohninvest WESERSTADION against FC Bayern München on 18th August.

The first away match for the Green-Whites is a week later against SC Freiburg (25th-27th August), while the game against Borussia Dortmund will take place between 20th and 22nd October. In November, SVW has two home games, separated by an international break, against Eintracht Frankfurt (10th-12th November) and Bayern 04 Leverkusen (24th-26th November).
