Vietnamese influencers Tuyen Van Hoa and Phat Freestyle returned to Bremen for a second time since 2023, having been invited by SV Werder and Bremen’s Economic Development Agency (WFB). Over the course of four jam-packed days, the duo were able to take part in activities such as attending the Bundesliga home game against Leverkusen, and the Freimarkt. The visit was also supported by Schächter Sports, the agency that the Green-Whites carry out their internationalisation activities with.

Tuyen Van Hoa and Phat Freestyle are two of the most well-known sports influencers in Vietnam, with plenty of activities on the schedule for their four-day visit. The two met Amira Arfaoui, a member of SV Werder’s women’s team, at the club’s training ground on the first day of their visit. After filming several challenges with the attacker, they linked up with Justin Njinmah in the Werder mixed zone. The duo also filmed several social media segments with our number 11, mainly for use on the club’s Vietnamese-language Facebook page. Away from the training ground, the duo also took the time to check out the 989th edition of Bremen’s Freimarkt to experience the local culture up close.

A full day of football-related activities

Saturday featured a full day of football-related activities. After sharing some of his tricks and skills with kids attending the Werder football school’s HeimspielCAMP in the afternoon, the freestyler then attended the club’s home game against Leverkusen in the evening. At half time, Phat was able to put on a show in front of a sold-out Weserstadion. “It was a great feeling to be back at the Weserstadion. I hope that the fans enjoyed the show. I was really excited to see both new and old faces. With the help of the various content pieces we were able to produce together with the club’s first-team players, we will be able to share the unique spirit of this special club with everyone in Vietnam,” said Phat. SVW have been partnering with Phat and Tuyen for a year now, implementing several initiatives both in Vietnam and in Bremen.

The end of their visit saw Tuyen Van Hoa and Phat Freestyle attend an event hosted by Demen FC, who were founded 40 years ago by Vietnamese expats living in Bremen. Over 50 people attended the event, which was held on the grounds of FC Huchting and organised by SVW and the WFB.

“We’re extremely happy that Phat and Tuyen have returned to Bremen again after having visited last year already. They are a key part of our activities in Vietnam and we are pleased to have found two influencers that represent our values and who are able to authentically convey our messaging to the Vietnamese community. Additionally, we’re glad to see that the relationship between the two and Werder, as well as the city of Bremen, has been able to visibly strengthen. These two influencers are an important strategic pillar towards achieving credibility and reach in our target market,” said Dominik Kupilas, head of fan and business development at SVW.
