SV Werder Bremen have completed their second delegation trip to Vietnam, having spent the past weeks building on pre-existing contacts and forming new partnerships. The trip was an overall success, and the Green-Whites were able to take away a number of positives from their time in Southeast Asia.

A landmark agreement to work with Football for All in Vietnam (FFAV) was arranged during the trip. As part of their strategy to support sustainable football and environmental activities, SV Werder Bremen will work with FFAV, who are part of the larger COMMON GOAL initiative. Together, with FFAV, SVW will reach more than 3,000 local children and young people with the ‘Goal Masters’ education course and ‘Fun Football Festivals’.

SV Werder visited various media organisations in Hanoi and agreed to cooperate with some in order to widen their reach and increase awareness, as well as with schools and universities to get into contact with their target audience in the Southeast Asian country.

SV Werder Bremen also stepped up their work alongside local football partner VJSS. The Green-Whites’ Football Development Programme will therefore offer local training sessions for children and young people during the 2024/25 season.

“We can be happy with what we’ve achieved so far and we’re pleased to have furthered our projects in Vietnam and promoted the positive effects of football on local communities in the country,” said Dominik Kupilas, SV Werder Bremen’s head of fan and business development, who is responsible for the club’s internationalisation activities.

SV Werder Bremen’s sustainability work is carried out with the support of our sustainability partners. They have played a role in the projects and programmes for several years and made a valuable contribution to the Green-Whites’ social and societal activities.
