          Olivier Deman will spend the rest of the season on loan at Belgian side Royal Antwerp, as confirmed by Peter Niemeyer, head of professional football at Werder, on Monday.

          “I’ve watched a couple of Werder games”

          SV Werder Bremen have made their first signing of the January transfer window, bringing in Issa Kaboré on a six-month deal from Manchester City. Kaboré was on loan at Benfica for the first half of the season and will remain at Werder until the summer. The 40-time Burkina Faso international spoke about his move to Bremen in his first interview as a Green-White.​​​​​​

          Werder sign Issa Kaboré on loan

          With a new year of training just underway, Werder Bremen have brought in a new player. The Green-Whites have signed defender Issa Kaboré on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season. The 23-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan from the Citizens at Benfica, and has now joined SVW until the summer.

          Micheal Zetterer has worked hard and waited patiently for his chance to take up the mantle as Werder’s first-choice goalkeeper. The 29-year-old didn’t miss a minute for the Green-Whites in 2024 and is a key figure in the team’s build-up play.
